How much sleep is enough for me?
The common and average recommendation is 8 hours of sleep. Now we are all unique individuals, do you really think you need precisely 8 hours? Sleep requirements can vary from person to person. When reading this chart think of a bell curve (think back to math class) the majority of adults need 7-9 hours of sleep, however a substantial amount of adults may need more or less. So how do you determine how much sleep you as an individual need? Ask yourself these simple questions.
1)Do you yawn throughout the day?
2)Is coffee a requirement or even a nice pick-me-up on a daily basis?
3)Do you doze off or lose your concentration?
4)Find yourself misplacing things?
5)Experience the ‘after lunch’ or 2pm dip?
If you answered yes to 2 or more of these you definitely need to get more rest. You’ll be astounded by how getting proper sleep can boost many aspects of your life.
