Here are some important steps to avoid before getting a good night’s sleep.
-Avoid watching T.V. until you doze off.
-Make sure to turn the T.V. off at least an hour beforehand.
-Stay off of Social Media, your friends need their sleep too.
-Engaging in activities will stimulate your brain and keep it running, decreasing your quality and quantity of sleep.
All of these devices and activities have lights which stimulate hormone release in your brain telling your body to stay alert and awake, when in reality you need to send the opposite signals. In short just avoid anything electronic with a screen that lights up while you are winding down the day and getting ready for restorative sleep.
